haha. so prelude 29's over. and that marks another end of the chapter of my life. For now all i can say that it started on a grand note, and ended off with a high note. haha. I'll blog about it soon, but, yeah, the camera doesnt seem to wanna connect to the com. and ive wasted the whole day slacking away alr when i shouldve spent it catching up on my work. Im feeling so overwhelmed right now from the work facing me. Ive not been faithfully doing my tutorials recently and even wasted today away. and im feeling so lost about all the lectures now. esp chem. omg. how how. Oh no. ive gotta try my best. so, whilst trying to catch up on tutorials/lectures and waiting for the camera plug to come back from dad's office. till then everyone(:. haha.

Ive never, in my whole entire life, felt this tired before. Inside out, i feel fried. and the flu now aint making things better at all. Im starting to lag out on almost all tutorials. shit, that reminds me of the diversity tutorial that has yet to be done by tuesday. and im halfway reading through the lecture notes for chem eqm and the tutorial will be like going through tmr. and econs right now, i dont know what the heck is going on, and well, the GP essays and practices that im supposed to do for the last 3 weeks? hur. not done at all. well, band life is ending in 6 more days. Looking forth to it, but all at the same time not looking forth to it. Looking forth, cos i can finally get some time to breathe, to sleep and to catch up on my work. shit 3 weeks to study for JCT, and so heavy. ive got no idea how im going to do it. but i must. Chem SPA this tuesday, so tmr, i'll leave the first thing when band ends again):. sighs. And like, i hope i can survive. omg, i need reassurance, energy and determination right now. with no distractions at all):. I really hope i can catch up with my work, before JCTs. if not, im fried pork meat la.):. and well, not looking forth cos, that means, wont be seeing linsheng anymore for the rest of the year, no sectionmates to go crazy with, no band mates to go mad with. and yeah, i'll miss them. sighs. but prelude is coming, and my andersen solo is still screwed. its so high, and shit la. am making so many mistakes. Attacking the note, ending together, support, airy high notes, flat high notes. and guess what. linsheng/section can hear it all.):. I really really pray that i'll get the andersen solo part nicely done for prelude. Thats the only one that i have/deciding to take up. The toughest one in fact. Lots of sustaining to do. sighs. life sucks. playing also like that, academics also like that, health also like that. and well, the relationship/friendship side, i guess its okay now la. but still, im feeling really tired from some of the things that are happening from that side.
This week. chem spa, NAPFA(which im going to fail, hop ewill pass the august retest though), and prelude. Please, let this week be a safe one. I pray pray that i'll survive in all classes and lectures, and i pray that 74067 wont throw tantrums with me morrow. omg, plspls. I'll need all these desperately. sighs. This is the hardest phase of life, just yet. when the whole world seems to be collapsing/falling apart. Really need support, and loads of reassurance and zest and energy to go on. Pls. let this week be a good one. Just this week for now. oh man.

Its like 1.55am in the morning, apparently suffering from throat infection and flu, so apparently im feeling groggy and might start talking rubbish. so, if anything is detected in this post that is wrong, pls leave a note in my tag board k. Time lag in my post but,

Everything that we've worked so hard for, everything that we've done. Its there. We gave our best shot, the scene of after playing, when everyone came out, majority was smiling, majority felt that we've done our best. Went to the toilet with matthew, and saw linsheng, and apparently, linsheng felt that we did our normal standard, and it was quite exciting. And i was hoping for at least a gold, or even more. Everyone was excited, everyone was so scared, waiting under baited breath. And when the results were released, I guess, it gave the hall a shock. I saw the saxophonists crying, then i saw xy and c crying, then, bh, m, and eventually to my row, mainly all the girls were crying. and the guys, well, practically everyone was sianned. Somewhat, on the way back to the bus. Theres only 1 word that kept on repeating in my mind. that is,
"why"
millions of thoughts were gushing through my mind, like what the heck went wrong. From where i was sitting on stage, The set piece sounded as usual all right, our section did well i guess. And c! you're in tune! from the recording it is in tune(:. so, I dont know. our section's rich tone, intonation and technique was shown i guess. Other sections did well too, the choice piece. was, woa, i kindda felt it was more than all right, from the crytal singing tones given from the sax quatet, to the rich and colourful tones that the 1st oboe and 1st flute was giving, to the showcasing of the double tongueing from the band at 254, to the showcasing of the togetherness of the runs of the winds at 278, to the pitching of impossible notes at 300 by the trombones and horns, to the tuned bottles with the wonderful techniques of the marimba and xylophone, then showcasing almost all the sections at the fugue part, before finishing off with a grand finale. Personally when i came out, i was smiling. I thought things were more than all right, and there wont be a repeat of the scenes that happened in 07 syf with hsc. So, i dont know, when the results were announced. I was just duper tired/sianned. First i was thinking of the pw results, then now. So, i dont know. Right now, its still the same why why why. You give your best, you know that you gave your best. but the results just dont come.):. Luck? perhaps i think i need it more than ever this year. Its lacking. But i pray that it'll come back to me. hahaha. maybe shall start keeping clover leaves and opals by my side from now on.(:.
Anyhow, I listened to the recordings again and again and again. Spotted a lot of minor mistakes along the way. But, im not so sure on whether we were pin pointed on all that. Tone wise, the band was there. Innotonation wise, the band was there. Technique wise, the band was there. Feelings/expression wise, the band was there. So, what exactly when wrong? So right now, Im just gonna wait. Wait for the judges comments to return before saying anything. At least
I wanna know a justifiable reason first on why the results before saying anymore things.
And of course, it is indeed heartening/sweet to see all the comments on bandfusion. Everyone there seems to have liked the performance put up during SYF by our band. and well, like 95% of the people there are like fighting for us.
-TJC was really very good. From the opening of extreme till very last bit. they did very well for a Junior College band with consideration of the difficulty of their choice piece, "extreme makeover". Really they did very well. All the running and others. Really good.Personally I am not sure how come TJC will get such results (a silver?) but to me they worth AT LEAST A GOLD, although I expected a better outcome (honours)
-PS: to those who have not heard Extreme makeover before and went for SYF today, the back part for Extreme is difficult and messy by itself (it is written that way), with all the cannon or fugue (different instruments come in at different timing while the previous instrument that came in still playing the whole melodic phrase). I said this caused I heard people saying they sound messy with different instruments come in late and all over the place at that fugue part. To all TPJC and TJC band members, you all have done your very best. It doesn't matter how the 6 judges think, you all have done a good job and of course, to alot of band conductors and audience, you all do deserve better award.
-No2 was TJC.Their tutti sound was really wow! thick, great harmony and rich tone.If there is a difficulity of music in judging criteria , TJC scored a point.I like the choice of music, I don't think the conductor choose this music if he is the type just care the result of the SYF.He wanted to play music to express something, that is why he had chosen this music.bravo!
-My ranking of the schools today -1) TJC2) RJC3) ACJC4) CJC5) TPJC6) NJC7) MJC.... the restI felt TJC, ACJC, and TPJC deserved better results too. TJ's extreme makeover was really exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire performance
so, yeah lor, till now, even lin sheng is baffled by how the hell we got silver. And no matter how much everyone loves our music, it wont change the award no longer. its there, forever. and like, i guess we cant totally blame the judges also la. cos, i guess, they're there for an obvious reason, to judge. Perhaps we were lacking in something. But still, i dont know what. I wanna wait for the comments before saying anything.

Hey ppl. haha. im deciding to share this video uh. Its been a year since ive watched finished the first season of nodame cantabile.(strongly recommended to watch if you're in band/orch or whatsoever) haha. its damn damn uber nice, and im still loving it till now. This video, whenever i watch it, i ALWAYS, without fail get goosebumps.(haha did you all get by any chance?) So far, its the only video that can lemme get goosebumps la. haha. Watch it k! omg, i really hope that we can play something like this for syf. MAE OURSELVES AND LINSHENG PROUD(:. HEE. hahaha. Like actually can sense the shiokness, sense the excitement, sense the emotion, sense like, everything that you're supposed to be sense. You guys watch the video k! especially especially the parts in the first movement, when the whole orchestra decides to be cheeky and insert the whole moving element in. Like how the music soars and crescendos, you see the violins zooming all the way up together with their instruments( I know its damn damn damn exaggerated), hahaha, but still, its damn nice right. Everytime i see that, I get a tinge of cringe excitement inside my tummy. and then you see the trumpets at the back waving left and right( HAHAH, THIS ONE IS DAMN EXAGGERATED ALSO), but still, and how the double basses and cellos turn their instrus 360 around during some parts. The clarinet was like almost playing parallel to the ground at some parts also alr. and haha, the best for last, the flute girl was like WOO! HAHAHA. like 125 degrees off the ground near the end of the video. And also, the part when the whole orch crecendos, she does the upper and upper and upper thing also. haha.(If you would've realized, at 536 i think the part where flute have to do double notes, whenever the notes rises, i rise as well. (but of course ill minimize it like crazy during syf itself.) Im worried that my exaggerated movements will cost the band performance marks uh.)):. I pray that that wont happen. and im gonna tap my toes instead of my feet if theres a need to. But still, just like S orchestra, I really hope that I can feel goosebumps during SYF itself. 254! omg, with the run of the winds, with the power of the notes from the bass trombone/trombones, with the holy horn notes and the supporting bass. OMG, i pray pray that the shiok shiok feeling will come, and i pray that the notes will all be neat and nobody's rushing, and best of all, i really hope all of us and linsheng will enjoy ourselves. haha, just like how s orchestra enjoys themselve.(if you've have watched the anime series, you would understand how horrible s orchestra actually is, from a bunch of underachievers, under the direction of chiaki, and he helped the whole orch to turn to some god like sound). Im not saying that we're all underachievers, But still, all of us, no matter how bad, or how good we are have improved a bunch under the baton of linsheng aint it. I guess. hahaa. oh man, really hope we can play something like what they've played. (HAHA, of course not follow the movements la, too exaggerated, even though mine is quite mm alr. Kenna commented by the NTU senior the other time. -.-. embarassing. HAHA.) BUT STILL, i promise and promise i will take note all my note entries and i promise to the best of my ability, i wont move too much,(dont wanna affect the presentation marks =/) and i also promise that will take note of all the crescendos and everything. OH MANNN. hahahaha.
Practiced flute like crazy for close to almost 3 hours today. And forsaked a lot of time for work. Oh man. sucks. econs test on tuesday and ive studied nothing, and chem mock spa also. But you know what, its okay(:. hahaha. Just till wednesday. Ive made enough regrets in my life, and you know what, syf 09 together with the rest of TJCSB wont be one of them. I think i seasoned my flute abit more today. So i hope it'll be fine morrow(:. yeah i think it will be. gonna borrow powder paper from bh again. =x. omg, pls pls keypads, dont fail me now. *fingers crossed* 3 more days. omg, pls let things be fine.

But it somehow scared the hell out of me that something might happen to my flute. Alr the sticky keypads and the weird cant get the tone out sometimes is making me worry alr. im uber worried now. Not gonna worry for academics for a while. But. Die. Suddenly it just seems so hard to play like how i play a few months ago. When i wasnt overblowing. When my flutes sticky pads are not there. When my flute in the past seem so much easier to play. Oh my god. Syf is in 3 days. Hope i can do this. Worried- and guess what. Theres econs and chem mock spa and bio actual spa next week. Oh man. A crucial week next week. Please let things be fine.. Sighs. -jErM
Okay, its alr 12.46am and theres band in a few hours time. Went out with flutes, dbl reeds and saxes today at suntec, haha, good chiller session i guess. wolverine, graphics and music damn nice. anyhow, feeling really sleepy right now, but, many things happened from the last time i posted.(woa. my blog is dead) haha. but really really busy to do anything, not even posting on blog. So, yeah, syf is next wednesday and im feeling nervous and excited for it all at the same time. but still, the pracs lately have been intensive like crazy. But still, im enjoying it most of the time, i guess. haha. oh and Tommy's return to the band was whoo! hahaha. its like, woa, damn shiok to be under his baton once again, although its only for one prac. and so are all the other alumnis. cool, some sarcastic, some, i dont know. But still, all thanks to their efforts, i guess the band did improve. and of course, the main cause is lin sheng! haha. yay. OMG, PLS LET IT BE A GWH. PLS PLS PLS. worked so hard for it):. oh man, i pray everything will go fine next wed. Anyhow, 2208 you guys are still an awesome bunch of people. thanks so much for the concern for me, during that unlucky day which got caught by T -.-. hahaha. and of course, yeah. Gotta strive for it. GWH GWH GWH! omg, pls pls pls. hahaha. anyhow, yeah, been hanging out with the section for more than 12 hours a day. I think, minds tired cant think. haha. And still, omg, band life is ending. D;. for just a moment, despite all the groaning from the tiredness, im gonna miss this once this period is over. SO i guess, i'll learn to treasure the last few days before syf. And i hope, no it will be. SYF will be awesome.
